Grettings Counter Strikers and Dc, on this post i will show you a nice idea for counter strike 2d and i will ask a thing about servers and bots.
Now you're asking, why you dont post this on "Ideas for CS2d" thread ?
Because my idea is not for the cs2d next version. I was thinking this last days about cs2d bugs. Of course gonna be fixed, but we (players) cant wait for a next version. Dc can make some update patches ever months or weeks or when find a bug. Of course DC health is first and he cant stay all time working... But would be nice if he launch bugfix / addstuff / etc patchs all months. Per example, when we launch cs2d appears a windows telling "New patch update" then we click OK or PATCH, like an update.
Other idea is to servers, can have a diferent skin than ppl withouth delete original skins of ppl or use lua scripts and to add a "Find Usgn" option to filter on serverlist.

About Bots :
I got a server called Total Noob's Super Hero and sometimes nobody was there, then i go call my friends and we play there, but we want to play with more people then i add bots. On the super hero mod we choose a hero and he do what hero is supposed to do. Bots choose too, but when they choose Portal Gun Hero they cant use m4a1 and try attacking with portal gun (XD). Really please fix that.

About Server :
When i was hosting my server with dedicated sometimes the dedicated closes because people joining and download the files make lag... Then i make a normal host (no dedicated) and that no more happens. And when i host it with normal host ( no dedicated ) the people get less lag. My question is, have we a form to host normal server (no dedicated) and go to other server ?
If no, would be cool to add that form, is like a dedicated but with all normal host settings only change we can go to other servers and stay hosting. Is like an app in background.
And when we are on other server and open menu (esc) a option called host / stop host be staying down the option add to favorites.

Pheeeew... Finnaly i stop writting, thats my questions, idea.

It's not just few minutes to fix a single bug, sometimes it can take hours. user DC also don't have time, he probably has job, and other things to do. And the fixes are delayed, because people like you are wasting his time by posting random shitty pointless questions on this forum.

Well maybe I'm wrong ,but I think that user DC should have a team to help him updating game..
I remember CS2D in 2009-2010...

Do you play other free fps online games ? On his launcher, can update the game but the update button isnt always on. I dont say to DC make an update patch all hours, is like a patch to update sometimes when find a super bug something like that, dont need to update every hour...

omg...

the first stupid idea about bots is just a simple priority error; u could probably go in and fix it in 2 minutes if u bothered to learn scripting

the second stupid idea is just a comment on why dedicated servers have lower priority than focused applications (focused application like cs2d gets higher system priority and higher bandwidth priority than cs2d dedicated which gets background priority). theres really no fix for this, it depends on ur computer and router so stop being stupid

I'm doing my best to fix bugs as soon as possible. Note that the entire process of just releasing a new version (not the actual programming and bugfixing) takes about 2 hours (at least) because there are win, linux and mac versions and also client and dedicated versions plus a setup version and an auto update version for windows.

• Win Client Zip
• Win Client Setup
• Win Client Auto Update
• Win Dedicated
• Linux Client
• Linux Dedicated
• Mac Client

That's 7 versions and all need to be compiled and updated and I can't do all that directly from Windows. I have to boot Linux/MacOS to actually compile for those platforms. You can probably imagine that this is a quite annoying thing to do. Even though I got shell scripts for building stuff in one click: It's still a super annoying and stressful process and I have to be quite concentrated in order to do as few mistakes as possible.

So I hope that you understand why I prefer releasing several bigger updates instead of many tiny updates.

@user Pcmaster or Oito: The team aspect has been discussed frequently already. Search the forum to see why this isn't as easy as you might expect it to be.

Basically this is just another idea thread which leads to even more pointless redundancy so I'm going to close this now.
