Hello guys, I am trying to use an application called Freedom in my android device, but when I run it, it says "You need a root access in order to use Freedom".

I searched in Google but I don't get it.
Can someone explain here how to root a android device?
It would be nice if you provide a step-by-step instructions on how to root android device.

Be careful root can ruin your device if it wasn't made for it.
E.G: if you root a galaxy i9100 with a root that was made for galaxy s2 i9100g, system won't work.

@user Starkkz: Have you tried that method? I don't think it will work..

@user Starkkz: Maybe they were already rooted, cuz Superuser app is just a root manager, it needs root to work it's not a root itself.

I don't know about that but in galaxy s2, you turn it off then press the power button + volume down, for download mode.
and for recovery mode, power button + volume up.

Hi Community,
and hi @user iLoveUS:.
You want to root you're Tablet?
I have a link, but their is all in German... (But it works!)
If you can understand German use this link:

@user Starkkz: If he download Superuser, nothing happends.
Becuse he mus root the Tablet and if he root them he have the app automatically.

@user Ahmad: Thank you so much for the help, I turned off my device then I pressed and hold the power button and the volume down and it works! Now I can root my device

BTW, it's my first time rooting an android device.

EDIT: When I click the start button in Odin, I waited for a few minutes then it says "<ID:0/004> Can't open the serial(COM) port." I found out that the rooting failed.
