So where do I extract it? I only did extract it to the documents. I heard its much easier to do it that way. I put all the files inside a folder named: Directx 9.0c. I run the exe file, and then its done. WinRAR doesn't ask me to save any changes...

@user DC: That's what I ment all the time but user Conscience didn't believe in what I posted even though I was being realistic about it. But as you posted there are other unzip tools however I was just assuming that all users had WinRAR by default. In conclusion there must've been simply a confusion around this.

@user D-D3ADxPro: I guess we'll try to solve your problem now. Even though your problem is quite difficult to analyze. About WinRAR it's a file archiver used in order to compress files into lesser size. It's mostly used for extraction of files.

What you should focus on primarily is the extraction. I recall that you posted about CS2D in the documents folder. Am I correct? or was that your DirectX drivers or what not? anyhow I think both should run fine from that location. I personally have CS2D in the path "C:\CS2D" and I'm assuming it will run anywhere except from the not recommended path "C:\Progra~2" (short path name) namely, that which is led into the Program Files (x86). As there's a warning when you try to execute CS2D from within that directory.

I don't know however why you are receiving this error message Exception Access Violation (EAV). It's kind of a technical problem which I can't answer unfortunately. Does anyone else have the solution? if so please post and try to be helpful.

Well , I'm really sure that these steps will work with you:
• re-install cs2d.
• Install the drivers.
• Try to change the game from DirectX To OpenGL If it work than you should install DirectX (the latest version) otherwise there's something going wrong in your pc , the problem can be from your computer's ram.
This information is took from the FAQ page.
So please read that FAQ page before posting here.

@user Xirot: How many times do I have to explain it? The FAQ doesn't solve it at all. I did remove the line followed by sound driver. Saved it and re-opened cs2d, nope, it doesn't work. OpenGL just makes the game even worse. re-installing cs2d wont even solve the problem at all.

@user KimKat: The path file for my cs2d is located at C:\Counter-Strike 2D. This doesn't even happen to my laptop because it has Directx 9.0c, but even if i try to install it on this computer (Windows 7 Ultimate), No matter how much times I install it, it will not change the direct x version. It's always stuck at Directx 11.

Attention: Do NOT extract/install to "C:\Program Files" on Vista/7/8! It will lead to problems!

@user D-D3ADxPro: I don't see why you're having problems with DirectX. But in any case, you could always try to downgrade to test if previous versions work. There is a uninstallation guide on that right here. I recommend DirectX 9.0c as it should run fine on most machines. Well even if 9.0c also give a error when running CS2D you could always reinstall DirectX 11 and we're back to square 42. I'm not sure why this error occurs for you and it appears to be very technical in a way, something in CS2D triggers this error for you none the less that's for sure.

@user D-D3ADxPro: I'm still trying to figure out the problem but it feels like your graphics drivers are outdated, so I can only point you to this direction and let you search for the graphics drivers yourself but with guidance of course. We need to find out that you have installed the latest graphics drivers on your PC. If you don't have that it explains why your graphics appear bad in games. Currently you need to simply update them. It's my conclusion.

For some Windows XP users this appears to work. I can't recommend it for you but it might work for you if you use this specific Intel graphics driver. Else I forward you to either Intel Download Center or NVIDIA Driver Downloads. Where you could see if you have your graphics drivers listed in there or not. If you find a eligable graphics driver be sure to update. After that enter into dxdiag (DirectX diaglogue) as you've done before and click the Display tab within the window. When you have updated your new graphics drivers hopefully there will exist to be some new buttons namely "Activate" which you will have to click in order to experience the power that DirectX holds. In other words to activate DirectX.

I hope this works for you else your problem is much more complicated than I thought. If we can't even find you working graphics drivers that'd be a epic fail really. The cheapest way out is to buy a new PC but I doubt you will do that just to play a game. I hope we solve your problem instead sometime around because these things takes time to fix apparently. Test if the method described above is functioning well and tell me the end results here if it went good or bad.

Graphic drivers are already up-to-date

Well. I personally ran out of possible ways of fixing the problem for you, maybe somebody else could know how to help you though, so stay strong!

I already supplied you with tons of possibilities of error problems but never managed to find your problem, so I rest my case and hopes someone else cunning in the field to help you. Else buy a new computer it's always the easy way out none the less. I personally never really experience problems with games on computers, so I guess you're just unlucky to say the least. Sorry bro can't help you for now. Your problem was too difficult for me to analyze and stuff I stand by what I've said earlier though because it seems most reasonable that those are the actual problems you're facing and you are just saying stuff without doing them correctly. You might think you're graphics drivers are updated when they're not. I actually had to update lots of stuff lately even though I thought I had the latest updates, so yea. Think again. Other than that I believe you can't solve this issue it's too technical, I could tell you to send it to a computer tech help center they can definitely help you with your problem and yes might even replace bad parts in your computer for a prize. Then you would be able to play CS2D again, no doubt.
