Hi, I'm Rattle.

Some people at Unreal Software don't really much respect the rules such as "Simply don't be a stupid a-hole" and "No swearing/flaming/offending"

e.g A guy named Joe123 said on a random map "This map is sh*t pls remove it" and the owner is offended.

How about this? A community bad word filter or swear filter

It would help real good!

@user Sparty: Yeah, that would help too.

@user ohaz: That sounds good.

---HOW TO BE AN A-HOLE---
[Don't do this if you don't want to get banned]
1. Randomly swear in multiple people's posts/files
2. Spam on people's inboxes
3. Delete your account
4. Create another account
5. Repeat Step 1 and Step 2
6. Repeat Step 3
7. Repeat Step 4 and so on
Congratulations, you've become an A-HOLE! Have a stupid life -.-

If people would follow this, they're stupid.

This post is a pure nonsense. True assholes do not behave like that. Anyway, following your logic, now I should be banned, because I read your "how-to-be-an-asshole-advices". My comments or rates in file archive are quite fair, even if I comment all files by certain user in one day, but am I an asshole? Answer this. Best way to avoid flame on your files is to delete a file and leave your US.de account (or delete it or whatever). Take Yates for an example (sorry, Tom). He seems to be the biggest asshole here (or he used to be), but in my opinion it´s not true. He should be called The-Greatest-Unreal-Software-Jungle-Surviver(what did I just post?). The best way to stop assholes from shitposting is to be one of them xor don´t mind (as mentioned Yates does) and let fuckers die in hell by constructive counter-comments..

Fuck yea.

No seriously Bolt is right though, if you don't give a fuck then you won't be that bothered by random idiots.
Then again, if you don't care then KimKat will spam you saying you are a psycho. Whatever seems best for you.

Cursing =/= flaming.

Saying stuff like "Wow, this file sucks. You should definetly work more on it." or "What the fuck is that? THAT is supposed to be a realistic Desert Eagle? It looks like it's made out of bloody Legos!" isn't as bad as "you goddamn piece of shit, shut the fuck up and get out of here".

Also, censoring words on the internet is totally useless. Everyone knows what the word is anyway. "F**K YOUR S**T AMY, WEST COAST 4 LIFE N***A, YO!" I'm pretty sure you still could read the entire sentence and recognized the "bad words" although they were censored.

thta is deu to wosrd not benig entriley reda.

Most of the people here could read what I just wrote, we actually do not read an entire word but the first few letters of it. And due to our nature of using swear words most of the time the censoring of one cannot stop us from understanding.

Thus filtering them is useless.

Hurray for logic! √

Jesus, are you some kind of über-christian, banning "bad words"?

And rule 3.1 is NOT "No swearing/flaming/offending", it's "No posts which offend/provoke/insult people (flame)".

Even more, rule 5.1 is not "Simply don't be a stupid asshole".

None cares.

@Yates:Taht´s why "fuck" is better than "fcuk", even if we understand both √

Filter isn´t needed, even if it were needed, people would break rules in the other way. Who does give a sheet about bad words here? You have to be at least 13 to register here and I bet that teens that are 13, know most of badwords that I´m not going to quote.

This forum is filled with potty-mouths, not that this is something serious. It is just not pleasant to see files you own being called shit. I do have to agree with the OP there, but filtering bad words is never a good solution. People will just type it differently.

It's just about that some people can't accept constructive critisms. And if User 1 is bitching about User's 2 file for any reason that isn't critism, the best solution is to ignore him. Or use "I repot u!", when it goes hard.
