It's because of FoW, not lags.

Fog of war.
Otherwise you're internet is fucked up.

It's because fog of war is enabled. Disable it and you'll see that it isn't lag.

You probably have fog of war on with fog of war alpha set to 0%. You should set it to at least 1% to see fog of war.
