No. I believe it's hard to make someone completely invisible. At most, you could place the current tile image over the player to make it look like it's actually the tile. It won't work if sprites are nearby, though...

Making players completely invisible would be very confusing for everyone on the server. Some people might even think that hacks are involved. Also it's very unfair of course. For these reasons there is currently no way to make players completely invisible.

What about making harder for the players to see instead of making them invisible? Using a hud image + alpha.

No, the CS2D file transfer does not replaces existing images. That would be a pretty bad idea! Imagine a random troll server would overwrite and ruin all your skins...

@user DC: So imagine a random troll server sending empty 1x1 images based on list of existing images other servers use. Players will have faked non-existent 1x1 images instead real ones when they haven't played on other servers before downloading fakes. Hashes instead filenames could help here.

@user VADemon: This is Off-Topic but yes, the current file transfer solution in CS2D is primitive and not optimal and it can be abused in the way you described (even though I didn't see that happen yet). I'm aware of this and I already have it on my ToDo list. You are right that hash values are a good solution. I'm already using the same method to synchronize media files and scripts in Carnage Contest.

Invisible? Not so easy but the best you can do is set the Terrorist hats like that in Hide n Seek.
