Hi, good people of us !
I think most of you already know that GTAV is coming to PC on 14th of April (If it doesn't get delayed again).
I'm very hyped, but I might get into some trouble with performance. To begin with, here's my system:

Video card: NVidia GeForce GTX 770
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 @ 3,40GHz
RAM: DDR3 8GB

My system should be totally fine for GTAV, but I always get constant 45FPS whenever I play GTAIV (on normal settings).
I don't know why and I worry it'll be even worse for GTAV later on. Does anybody have an idea what could cause this?
Every kind of help is greatly appreciated!

@user BountyHunter: Because such things like system requirement lab isn't so 100% accurate to tell you if you can run this game at good results.
As for the GTA V i think you're able to play this game and there's nothing to worry so much however i'm not sure precisely if you can play without lags.
Maybe you should upgrade the RAM to 16 GB but that's my opinion.

Do not worry!!!

Jesus H.

GTA IV is a terrible port and getting CONSTANT 60 frames is not possible.

I read a lot of topics on the internet regarding this issue and it is not only you struggling with gta IV. There were people with kill systems high end gpus and CPUs and they couldn't get stable 60 frames.

Gta IV is simply a game you can not max out. It is terribly optimized and uses CPU for things it should not. What is more, the CPU is not properly initialized. It is a terrible port.

With that system you will run Gta V on ultra, no worries. Gta V is not a port. It was developed along with the console versions. It is made by the Max Payne 3 team and Max Payne 3 was a DAMN GOOD port. Those guys sure know what they are doing.

The proof of this is the new trailer which came out 2 days ago. They actually advertise Gta V as a 60Fps experience and you are highly above the recommended requirements.

I hope I will open your eyes and stop you from worrying.

Not really.

Recommended as far as I can tell means the ammount required to run the SYSTEM and THE GAME without any issues.

RAM is used to store variables, arrays, classes ecetra ecetra. Nothing more nothing less.

For graphical things serves the video memory, which runs independendly on the system memory. Really simply said: CPU sends instructions to the GPU telling it what to do.

The game itself will not use 8gb ram. It will use around 2 give or take.

You have got a powerful PC! If you can´t play GTA 5 it would be sad because then only a small amount of people are able to play this game properly.
