Today i downloaded CS2D b 0.1.0.0 source and put it inside the CS2D b 0.1.2.5's folder.
Edit: i compiled it
And... it didn't work.
It had ALOT of errors (can't find sfx/gfx).
So i didn't bother to fix them since the version is too old.
And i googled for CS2D b 0.1.0.0 so i can find sfx/gfx. And i found nothing of interest.
Neither did i find anything on the cs2d.com/unrealsoftware.de websites.
So i came here for your help.

Hah. He thinks taking source code and pasting it into another folder will get him the old version of the game.
Source code needs to be compiled and you'll get an executable just like CS2D. I don't know what type of code it is, but I'm sure you'll find out if you look up the forum. NO! Thats not the case! I compiled it with Blitz3D and it has errors (Missing sfx/gfx). Read the thread!

there are not that many/crucial changes from 0.1.0.0 to 0.1.0.4. the source of 0.1.0.4 will not be released anyway.

I now uploaded the old non-max game version 0.1.0.4 of CS2D. the files should be compatible with the 0.1.0.0 source code. I didn't test it though.

edit²: I experience a memory access violation when running it. starting it with the command line parameter "-nointro" fixes this problem.

there is a file called user32.decls in the source code archive
• copy this file!
• search the folder called "userlibs" in your Blitz3D folder.
• (optional: create it if it doesn't exist yet! name it "userlibs")
• paste user32.decls into this folder!
also make sure that you have the latest version of blitz3d. you can download it with your account at
www.blitzbasic.com after buying it.

download the game 0104 (!!!) and extract it to a new empty folder
download the source and extract the source code to the same folder (so that CounterStrike2D.bb and the includes folder are in the same folder as CounterStrike2D.exe)
do the steps in the source code readme
run CounterStrike2D.bb with the latest version of Blitz3D
works!

Isn't there a readme in the download as well? It should tell you what to do. Of course the game doesn't work with the current set of images/sounds because there were tons of changes (also changed paths/filenames and removed files) since then. prosuWANTED hat geschrieben

Yes, there is a readme file, but it doesn't help with the new version.

- put the "includes"-Dir in your CS2D Dir
By "CS2D Dir" i thought it could be any version. DC Admin Offline
