Looks pretty good, though a few things are just wrong. Like the room with the HEV suit and the break room were built in the wrong places, the spinning elevator is missing and the resonance cascade needs more explosions and teleportations. Other than that, looks good. Certainly needs improvement though.

What can I say, good job and I appreciate very much your work in what you do! Although, I cry so much that you don't want to release this, but nevermind is good.

@user Seekay: Hi Seekay I'm the one who helped "Masea". You say that there is no spinning elevator it's not that easy...HL is a 3D game but we are transforming it to a 2D game. So everything can't be same. Thank you soo much for comment they all make us think that we are doing our joob nice.

You could still build it in a way it resembles the original using teleportation. Most of the first chapter is on one plane or at least very close to that. Not a lot of verticality. You pulled off one elevator, you could have done the other one, too. Same goes for the HEV room, you just built it wrong, the limitation of the dimension is irrelevant in that case.

You enter the elevator room, the elevator itself is a sprite. When you enter, you get teleported to a similar room, the sprite starts spinning, and you get teleported to the new map section facing the different direction. Boom.

The HEV room you built doesn't have to be "amazing"... just right... look at the map in the game again and compare it to your map. It's all in one plane. Should be possible to do in CS2D.

Btw, it's irritating that you two use the same avatar.

You don't even understand what I'm talking about. The entire room and the kitchen were built in the wrong place. Actually, the entire section was built in the wrong place.

Explanation (with big images) >

I mean, I would have let you get away with it if there were limitations, like let's say de_dust2's short A. But that's not the case here, you just built it wrong.

@user Masea: If it were not a problem he wouldn't have mentioned it. Isn't that what this thread is for?

And will one of you change your avatar please. Two people with the same avatar is really annoying.

Thanks.

@user Masea: I don't want to comment about your map, I just commented on your post about another post which is about your map.

I think it's best if I don't comment about it because I will never like these maps eh.

Don't get me wrong, what you are trying to do is great. But my opinion is these things shouldn't be done without a better set of graphics and dedication. I'm not implying you can't do that, again, don't take this the wrong way.

They already exist, you just haven't found them yet. You use the half-life tiles, but not the GFX which is pretty hidden.

Personally the best "half-life" map I find is the one I host. You can check it out and download the GFX the creator used to make it all look good.

The first images in the gallery are the best. I don't like the ones with too much open space.

@user Yates: I found it already but it isn't half life map. I cant see any map like this at the orginal game.

Dude, did you play a single player half life?
you will see so much open space when you play.
