You still shall use this command (cs2d cmd sv_checkusgnlogin) because it's so simple to break a security without this.
CS2D' servers have set it default to 1.

By the way I forgive you for what you did...

Ontopic:
If your server is VERY far away from most of the cs2d players and you have no admin script or any save script that is based on USGN you better set it to 0 (OFF) for faster connection.

If your server has cool location and you have a script based on USGN ids than you better set it to 1 (ON) for better security.

The fix didn't change anything related to the settings or anything you would have to care about as end user at all. Otherwise I would have announced it.
