Something different for a change

Good job, altho the player looks a bit out of place in the Middle of those 3D models.

I'm not big fun of this 3D in CS2D. Can you make an option/command that a server doesn't allow for this 3D at the playing server (that cs2d client will ignore 3D)?

That's not a server option. This feature is just for specific maps.

@user SQ: , this feature planned not only for standart walls but also for Dyn and Breakable, right?

You can see big box. It does look like it halved and make it looks like a small box.
If i'll use brick-wall tile it would scale it and looks bad.
It won't be possible to make archs?

I didn't said it's polished. Improvements will be done if people are going to like this mode.

Our rates will be done if you have done the improvements or if you tell us what improvements will be looked different than screenshot you shared lastly. Then we can say much more than now. Furthermore, is this going to be as only graphical update or else? I can easily say that, this could be looked really good in some maps. Good luck.

Yeah can already see the improvements I've done in half hour (from first screenshot). I didn't work a lot on this feature yet.

I dont know man, it's obvious that it's looking nice but it's CS"2D". If it will be applied on the next update, i think it should be only client side option.

Yes its improving a lot, specially those new differences on dust2.

Btw, in the video (dust1) something like that could be good. (that you can switch 3d to 2d and vice versa)

Like a sv_force3d 1

so you dont need to create a new map (it's a huge pain in the ass trust me to have something like de_dust_3d)

@user BcY, and what? 2D game may include pos. based world, like in gta1(2). Frozen state and other games. The problem is that for now we don't know how images would be applied for these walls.

Btw another question, if i'll place an image on the wall, how would it looks like, image which cover players? There should be option which make this image move with player, such as 2-nd floor, but just image, set it's high value and make custom roof, train-rails etc.
