Weren't there some copyright issues regarding
a) the name (IP) and
b) some sound files
that previously led to the decision to not put the game on steam? Have those been solved now?

Also, is it really that smart to promote the game with an image where someone in chat wrote "wtf mega lag"?

Yes! About time! Good luck on getting Counter-Strike 2D on Steam! Been looking forward to the game getting on Steam a long time ago. Hopefully this will attract more players and a bigger community.

I laughed way too hard at that.

IIRC the sound files are stock sound effects.

@user Hurri04: Yes, this is a legal risk. Depends a lot on how Valve (which never replied when I tried to contact them) judges in this case. I secretly made it a bit less critical by renaming the game to just "CS2D" (did anyone notice? lol) but of course it's still "problematic".

The fun part about the mega lag is that I actually wrote that chat message myself... there really was a mega lag. Of course it was the server's fault But yeah.. it wasn't a good idea to write that while making promo material

@user Gaios: The Greenlight process is quite untransparent. There is no fixed number defined which needs to be reached. Only one thing is clear: The more yes-votes the better.

Thanks to everyone for voting and sharing
