st0rm-: so u think cs2d.net was the only competitive communitt? Funny. Get out of your bubble.

Yeah, it is the only global competitive community which hosted decent clan tournaments. Get your facts straight before typing invalid attempts to taunt anyone

You and your cs2d.net lol. Its been roughly the same people playing there for years.
And who are you, excuse me?
Yeah, sadly it is same people, because game devs wouldn't communicate with competitive scene. Only SQ did some attempts but it was too late already.
No I definitely don't think competitive is the way for cs2d, trihards would probably play it making it unfair, should probably just make modded servers...
Why did u revive the game again?

"Who are you" Do I need to be someone to state my opinion? Its always the same line with you guys "who are you" as if I need to be someone in your community lol.

Most players who joined 2D expected something like CS:GO match-making. It is so good that it became a necessity for modern competitive games.
They waited and waited and got nothing so they lost interest.
And to get into the small circle who still plays on community servers is almost impossible: same as other outdated competitive games. You just get destroyed without any guarantee were it cheaters or good players.

Oh yea, I remember the days back in 2007 when I was 11 y/o. I loved this game so much. Literally it was the only game I played on a daylie base.
Damn maybe I'll make a new map, back in my days my friend and I created a very popular jail map
Daaamn, I'm getting too excited.

The developers have no idea to revive this game, if I didn't have school, I would revive it, I remember when Lubo was here, His server was always full, even he revived Cs2d, but when his server closed, Cs2d was down.
How players from China and Korea play in CS2D and my
Quake 2D Arena (30) without USGN?

I mean in China or Korean network.
By the time i thought, lately a lot of players love roleplaying, minecraft and survival games or servers, so what prevents us from combining CS2D and Stranded in creating something like that?
That singleplayer game so it is just example.

I mean the creation of a massively multiplayer online role-playing 2D game with top down view, huge world map, and dynamic behavior of mobs and characters of players who offline. So players can develop technology and improve skills, and animals mutate in new types.

Pagyra: No, nowadays players don't want to play MMORPG / Survival games.. they rather want to play Fast-Paced games so they play IRAN TOWN, !MineCraft! (w/o scripts), some zombie servers and they just kill each other without any decent/clever goal.
The other game type they enjoy are Mission games so they play Jail servers.
I would love to create a mod like that but players just won't play it. That's sad but the reason is a player amount in total.
The fact is that only fresh, not-outdated, with custom gfx & sfx, Fast-Paced Missions game mode would make people play this game.
Only MMORPG / Survivals (in contrast to Fast-Paced) game modes will keep players at the server, and won't make players bored.

Well, yeah... I mostly like Survival/MMO servers instead of just fast paced games..
Why did u revive the game again?
I actually wanted to type servers, but i just was too lazy to change it..

I mean games, not cs2d servers.
We are in CS2D Forum Category..
damn this guy
Gaios is special, hes gonna be something big

I don't know if CS2D are going to die soon, I hope not. Actually, as some users stated here, the evolution of mobile games will overlap desktop games, indeed. And another point is that the technology is evolving, so, no one want to play 2D games since there are better options with good graphics. I'm very sad because this game changed my life. When I was 11 years old, I lost my mom and I only had this game to make me happy. I tried to learn and practice LUA language to make some scripts for my servers, and I liked it so much, so I did a promise to myself: when I enter on college, I'm going to study computer science. And today, I'm finishing computer science and working on good brazillian company. So, thank you very much DC for creating this game, I hope so much that one day CS2D will raise again and bring many players back. Of course, this game has potential
