How are we gonna play with those hackers around? Now its like 1 out of 5 is a hacker, who the hell is responsible for this?
If the sponsor, whoever that is, wants to be a man and make the cs2d community happy, make an anti hack system or something.
Ok, this game is free and all, but you got all these people to play this game, and now you should solve this problem. If you close this fuckin thread, that means you want to avoid your responsibility.

marcio, ur too optimistic, yes theres an anti-cheat system, but hey guess what, CS has one and I see hackers everyday, heck, even our own cs2d has one and there are still hackers, it doesn't matter if theres an anti-cheat system or not, if hackers are dumb enough to be screwed by an anti-cheat system then they're not really hackers at all, I pretty much agree with what hellelf said. I'm not rewriting cs2d from the scratch for fun, you know?
First of all you have to consider these two points:
most of the cs2d hackers are probably no hackers (right term would be crackers btw) but retarded kids which just downloaded a hack from somewhere and which don't have any experience on hacking.
the current cs2d version was programmed without even thinking about something like hackers. the way it is programmed makes it possible to hack things which would be impossible to hack if it would be programmed the "right" way (e.g. it would be IMPOSSIBLE to have a working money or weapon hack if this stuff would be checked on the server).
And here are my counteractive measures:
rewriting cs2d from scratch. using special security routines to protect and check sensitive stuff.
this will make it much harder to hack the game
let the server check as much stuff as possible.
this will wipe out ALL cheats which change the money or give the player weapons / ammo etc. furthermore players will not longer be able to move trough walls or "jump" to a position.
adding replays (maybe!)
watching the replays of a player will help to see if he is a hacker or not
adding U.S.G.N. accounts
this makes it possible to identify players. you can setup the server so that it allows only registered u.s.g.n. users to join. if someone hacks you can ban him FOR EVER.
the feature is also very important for leagues or clanwars because only the real players and not someone else can play (because he needs his u.s.g.n. password to login)
and please note:
Of course it is impossible to make a game 100% "cheat-proof". but I hope and think that the amount of hackers/cheaters will be clearly reduced with the "new" cs2d and that the really bad hacks will not work anymore. On the current CS2D, if you play on the dedicated servers (storm or cs2dg) they sometimes have admins in.
They're usually the best to stick to, whenever I join an un-dedicated server it's usually hacker infested.
Yesterday I player 2 - 3 hours of CS2D and saw 1 hacker on a dedicated. Hardly a major disaster. Good the waited one for new version.

the problem with hackers is that they are mostly very egocentric so they would want to be praised for their work, thus, if one person hacks the game, that specific hack will leak onto the internet, thus while most are cheating, the few who are doing the hacking is responsible for the whole thing, and as it is right now, if there's one hacker, theres bound to be a community of cheaters. They have auto kick system in the dedicated server, especially in Storm's server. Maybe its just me, even those servers are hacker infested. Because of that, I made this thread cuz i was pissed + SC is lagging, nothing else to play. And I know not all the kids are smart, they just dl it from somewhere. The point is, what can we do now? The guest is me.
Maybe hire some people who u can trust, so that when they see hackers, ban them to protect the server. i dont think anyone would like to hang around on a server all day just to ban some cheaters Lee Moderator Offline

How about actually think about what I said, I said hire more mod who people can trust, for example, Mr.A and Mr.B.
Whenever Mr.A and Mr.B gets on, they have the privilege to ban the hackers and possibly record their IP and ban them.

some people will use it incorrectly,such like banning the noobs or whoever they want,you know,i owned the stupid admin in server,then he though i am hacker then ban my ip forever,so i cant play cs2d anymore?
