hi guys

This lua script can be very useful for servers that messages play important role in the gamse and its possible that somebody doesn't see messages.
As you see in the title this lua bring the player message on the top of the player's head (and move when player move) for 8 secs (can be changed) and its clear to see it (picture attached).

I hope i see it on all big servers soon

• Wrapper.lua is needed !

Interesting, but this cannot be done for safety reasons:
user carb0n has written
Binds can be added by admins

Also you don't need the include the wrapper because CS2D already have has it bundled (unless you make changes to it, which I will suggest removing the 
map
function in the wrapper because it will screw up any script using the cs2d lua cmd map function)

EDIT: You probably should read cs2d cmd hudtxt2. Instead of trying to get the length of the hudtxt in pixels, just set the 
align
parameter to 1, unless you are planning to do something about those going out of screen.

But i think it is not recommended to use this mod if you are playing competitive. Like if you are hiding below a tree and you are typing and the text will be shown on the tree and you will be exposed.

I like the idea a lot, but the implementation is poor.

The main loop (on always hook) consists of two for-loop from 1,32 and that's 1024 iterations every frame, disregarding the amount of players! (use player(0, "table") to only iterate through existing players)

Also a add-on script should not set 
parse("mp_hudscale 1")
just because you didn't implement a version for the old 640x480 resolution. You better not touch this option at all and leave it for the admin to decide. - This must be noted in the description.

The script is pretty simple but useful. It would be good for RPG servers or something like that.

I am thinking of, why don't you make it cs2d cmd hudtxt instead of cs2d cmd hudtxt2 ? It will make the work easier though.
