Happy Killer: Looks like you don't know what "cartoon" means. Wikipedia shall help your 9 years old mind. Seekay: Most dubbed anime is pretty bad--and that was probably what he was watching.The main reasons I enjoy anime would probably be:
-non episodic -> character development
-culture references
-graphically consistent
Also, if you're watching anime from an American broadcasting network it's probably going to be all lewd and/or violence simply because the people translating or subbing anime think that this will sell better -> and it does.
