For the skin itself: The shape is okay (although not perfect) but it's just 2 colors. No shading or anything. This makes it look too plain, flat and simple. Add some shading and some details and it will look much better.

tontonEd: Now thats what you call a ak skin. perfect and has all the details. DC said. It doesn't look only flat and simple but also it looks very ugly when a skin like this lacks important things such as shades and whatnot. You have to practise a lot on shading and detailing your skin.Other than that, I suggest you to not edit other skins and re-colour them (like you did it recently)! Editing a skin such as a weapon is not always a bad thing but re-colouring it makes worse.
DC: This is juck fckin' sucks -.-You have just download another ak skin and look at yours and at another one.. at yours.. at another..
I even started to make something that may looks like a shadow.. You used two colors as DC said.. But you have to learn first - would you really use it for your own?
I'd say you did a decent job on your first try, everyone used to be that horrible anyway. My comment is the same as
