@AMD32: you can load simple bitmap images (bmp) as maps. paint is your editor - or photoshop or whatever you want. everything which is magenta (#FF00FF) will be transparent (sky), everything else will be terrain.

however it's planned to have an additional in-game editor as well.

I actually think that it is very great and gives you maximum freedom when making maps. moreover it makes the whole map creation very easy. you think that sucks? fine! I can live with that.

however I would highly appreciate to hear the reason for your opinion. just saying that everything sucks is simply destructive and not helpful. maybe you are just angry that I work on CC instead of CS2D at the moment. in this case just stop posting in this thread please.

it really roxx. It's very nice to make maps with paint and it's easy. So why should DC make a difficult editor, when it works with paint/any other tool too?

Well using paint will be a bit odd
means how will a guy understand that the base is something and the ground is something
And plz add things like worms fort or original buildings

About 'Fully Destructable', can you make parts solid- as in non-destructable, such as steel bars or supports, such as in LieroXtreme? Is this going to be like LieroX?

DC , why not in this case made a built-in editor ( something primitive for painting , like paint and stuff ) so that we can do all stuff ingame , like in stranded 2 painting the terrain ?

but why the fucking hell should I waste hours on a paint program which would then be worse than the real nice ones you can get on the internet?
just because you are too lazy to launch them? no way lol.
if you want to make maps which are based on an image you have to use a tool to create such an image. this is just a little project. not a monster project which features a fuckload of monster editors.

there are also random generated maps (these are actually the ones which will be played most time!) and maybe other map types (tiles like in cs2d would be possible etc.)
