The first public alpha release of Carnage Contest is now available at www.CarnageContest.com for free download.
You can get it for Windows, Linux and MacOS. The game has a size of about 10 mb only.

Please note:
This early version is very instable and error-prone when playing over the internet. Many testers had constant problems.
These and other problems are known! Please DO NOT report them!

UnrealSoftware.de will be extended with areas for Carnage Contest (forum, lab, uploads etc.) in the next days.

I think that it's too small amount of VRAM, because it crashes after the "Checking Version" part.

this could also be caused by a firewall (some people reported these problems in cs2d. it's exactly the same in CC).

@Blazzingxx: you can also play with several people on one single pc without using the internet. Create teams by clicking the team slots in the lobby. There is no AI. This is a pure multiplayer game.

Its nearly posible to make scripts becouse there is already many bugs with default weapons.
Game freezes almost every round I played, mostly I dont see particles of bazoka & other rocket launchers.

Without bugs game is great!

It's nearly impossible to make scripts? I made over 80 scripts with it.

the bugs are caused by connection/netcode problems. the scripts are not bugged. at least that's my experience from a huge amount of tests.

anyways: I'll blame Lua when scripting has bugs. lol.

well I've just spent the last few hours playing this and apart from the obvious bug here and there I think you ave done a great job so far DC!

Edit; The game froze zero times for me and I played for 45min, testing all the weapons ;D.

(I didn`t find major bug either, although you don`t wan`t to hear em :P)

I noticed a weapon called "For Allah!!"..
i really didn't expect you to be a biased racist, DC..
i'm a muslim and this is pretty much offensive.

@Pro: Yes, this weapon is offending and based on prejudices and I wasn't sure if I really could add something like that to the game or not - but I decided to add it. I'm surely not making any friends with that.

It is not meant serious anyway. Same for other questionable weapons like the "Explosive Belt" or "Plane Strike". It's (very) black humor - and I love this type humor. Please don't take it as criticism or offense. It's really not meant to be that.
