I would like to know whether custom items/weapons may be implemented in the next version of CS2d.
I currently DO script custom functionality into existing weapons, but there's only so much you can change, and I'd like to change some other things (such as spread, RoF, what slot a weapon is in, ammo capacity and maybe add some new weapons?). Also, I would like to add items that are usable/ have special scripted functions, such as a can of soda, a apple, or a Explosives detonator.
Adding weaponsets to CS2d would probably be a lot of work, but I imagine that there could be a checkbox that would say "Use custom weaponset" in the hosting menu.
I assume Item Type IDs could be assigned per weaponset, and link to the lua script, to avoid Item Type ID conflicts.
