Ye... ikr my pc again.

Well i just noticed that my HDD makes really weird sounds. They are really quiet (the fans are louder)

It sounds like someone would scratch a mirror. However you can only hear this if you hold your ear next to the case.

I'm a bit worried that my HDD may be damaged since i used to render a lot.

Does it have clicking sounds also?

If yes, then you need either to disassemble it (hdd head goes off the track), or simply buy a new one.

Nope, it doesn't click

Does this mean everything's fine?

I think that it has a bit dust inside. But, hey, I'm not an IT expert, just a random dude from Bosnia.

My HDD also does it. I have two one in my PC right now.

It may be not will be big problem. At lest for me there is no problem nowhere. If you dont get strange stuff in these days there will be no problem. Anyway i really advice to save your important files.

My computer barely makes a sound (unless you get really close and able to hear the fan) The fan gets louder if I'm running a game (minecraft, cs3d, etc...) but not 2d games

I will recommand to have a USB Hard Drive (Like me) to backup all your imporant content Those stuff cost around 50$ in my country for 1TB each so its pretty worth it.

Do not try to open your HDD. It's more or less sealed. There can't be any dust or dirt in it. Also you will most likely break it when you try to disassemble & assemble it.

It's probably not a problem when the sounds are that quiet. It could be though. If you're afraid that it's going to break make a backup. There's not much more you can do. If you still have warranty: Consider to use it / ask the customer support if you can get a new one because of this.

You should buy an SSD. Less power consumption.
