First of all, it's highly impossible to play CS2D
if you have never heard of the real Counter-Strike.
Wether it is Counter-Strike 1.6 or Counter-Strike Source,
without them you most likely wouldn't know of CS2D's
existence. So I'm curious here, why do you play CS2D
instead of one of the real Counter-Strike? And while
we're there, is CS2D based on CS 1.6 or CS Source?
Anyway back to the point.
The most likely reasons are probably one of these:
You can't buy CS for some reason. An example would be
that you can't afford it, or you can't find it in the store, etc.
You can't run CS because it will lag on your computer
or it causes some errors or simply won't play.
You can buy CS, it can play fine on your computer, but
you find CS2D simply better.
If the first reason is your case, I'd like to tell you that there are some free non-steam (CS runs in) downloads
out there, mostly CS 1.6 and some CS Source. I don't know if this is legal or illegal, Anyway if this is new for you, try Google, it's your best friend!
Back to the point, my case is that I play CS2D because
CS Source lags on my computer, and I can't find CS 1.6
in any stores nearby, and even if I find CS 1.6 in a store,
I'd yet have to look at the price. I'm thinking about downloading one of those free non-steam CS 1.6 files out there, I tried one back a while, it worked perfectly
and didn't lag unlike CS Source. It also worked good online, playing people that also use non-steam CS's.
So what's your reason? Because it simply kicks ass 
Okay, I'm not that real fanboy of cs2d or cs, but I like it, and I don't understand why all the people automatically consider cs2d as inferior. (Okay, from technical point of view it is, but that shouldn't matter ;)) all these nerds are playing cs2d cuz their computer can't handle a bigger game. Umm.. Now i found a free version of cs 1.5 so thats better

I i am not playing cs2d because now are many cheaters and is really boring play it...
but i start playing because a friend show me CS (year 2004) and i liked it. i started searching in google an ilegal version (non-steam) but i found CS2D and i started playing (ends of 2004)... i played CS2D for 3 years and now i dont play it

Yes i know about this guy hes the person who made a kick hack and gave it out to everyone. I got counterstrike 1.6 but i suck at it, slow reaction time
so thats why i play cs2d I play it b/c it owns any other game out there! 
I Play it because it is an awesome game, & I think when CS2D MaX comes out there will be even more Player's playing this game. I play both cs 1.6 and cs2d. Dunno why realy

I play CS2D because I get sick of the Counter-Strike/Counter-Strike: Condition Zero/Counter-Strike: Source mega lagg.
CS2D doesn't lagg alot, so that's why I play it.
And because it's 2D it makes it more old school, and more fun. I can play any game I want, so... you can't stop me.
And yeah, I am working on the Shadow of War modification for CS2D with MiroslavR. It's the best game to customize. 
I saw that Shadow of War mod on youtube looks good I played CS2D because I used to have a really crap computer back then and really couldn't play much else XD. CS2D is still fun though of course ^^.
