Level change - points distribution

I've got the following questions:
1. is it able to get more than 2 points at each level change?
2. is it able to spare points for the next level change? (eg: if I have 2 points and want to collect another 2 to be able to by a 4 point item)
3. how to hide the distribution window very quick if I want to gather points and do not want to waste them?
4. how can I save my points/configuration if I do not want to distribute them again when joining the game?
