That source code is outdated and is no longer supported by the USGN network so it wouldn't be possible to play online. Moreover I doubt someone will take the work to re-code it into iPad.

That would still be possible, but it's more the costs of the appstore to put in an app that would be a problem, and of course translating the source code.

Probably not too hard?

The iPad is around 9.5 in. (~24cm) x 7.5 in. (~19 cm).
That's enough for arrow keys, a buy button, keyboard basically.

The thing is that it probably will never happen, imagine all the extra work involved for DC.

That was not an UN-official CS2D.
And the code was different that this CS2D

That is not the problem, the problem is that the USGN does not support the older version of CS2D, so no one will be able to know that there actually IS a server running on your iPad. It's a bad idea, already had hundreds of threads like this in the past.

we had this discussion before. just with iphone/ipod touch instead of the ipad but it's technically exactly the same thing. the only difference that matters in this case is that the ipad has a bigger screen.

• you would have to recode the game from scratch. the existing code can not be used. feel free to do so - but Unreal Software is not going to do it.

• you would have problems with the controls. the touchpad and sensor controls wouldn't be as good and precise and responsive as the mouse + keyboard combo

• yearly payments are required to publish stuff in the app store (which is the only way to release your app) [no matter if you want to sell the stuff or give it away for free]

• Apple controls which apps are suitable for the store and which not. I don't think that they would accept a Counter-Strike 2D (due to licensing etc.) - worst case scenario: you spend many hours creating it, they decline it and all your work was in vain.

Joystick for movement in left bottom corner. Button for shooting in right bottom corner, gun choosing in up center, menu button in left up corner.

Ok, code is outdated. And iPad version will not be compitibility with PC, but will be compitibility with iPad lol.

I think, Apple hasn't reason to ban this app.
