Many users here want to be moderator because it would be "cool". Hell yeah, finally you're allowed to do what you want. I don't want to be moderator anymore. It's much work, and everybody hates you for doing what you have to do. I've gotten so many private messages saying "WTF WHY THE FUCK DID YOU BAN ME IDIOT I HATE YOU GO DIE" and stuff like that. It's really not much fun. The only reason to become a moderator here is to try to support the unrealsoftware community to become a better place. A newbie friendly place where you don't get flamed for no reason. If you just want to be moderator to have a green status and to have small ban buttons - please, don't try to become a moderator. Just don't. If you don't want to work much - don't try to become a moderator. If you think it's fun being moderator - you're wrong. It's work. Much work.

Don't get me wrong with this. I really, really want @user DC to find new moderators, and I really want them to do their job. I want them to be good moderators, I want them to be fair and stuff. But I want to stop those, who just want to become moderator because it's cool to be one.

@user ohaz: Being a administrator/moderator of anything is difficult. I have had to deal with daily messages like yours over unreal software PM and I even got spammed gay porn once for banning someone on a CS2D server.

I side with Ohaz on this, don't try to become a moderator because you think it's all relaxation and a few bans here and there because it's not. You will have to deal with the daily shit caused by most of the people here and to be honest you won't stop it anyway.

@user Jela331 & @user WinterPwnd, I do hope voting accomplishes nothing. DC should have the last say on this and no voting at all should be done. The last time in the English section I recall someone creating a thread on a Russian forum to vote for Vectar (Who had nothing to do with this) and before that in the German section newly created accounts were made to mass-vote. So please, do not count votes, as I hope DC agrees that it is useless.

This is - of course - no voting thread. It's just a suggestion thread. How often someone has been suggested changes nothing. So it actually doesn't even make sense to suggest someone who already has been suggested by someone else. It also doesn't make any sense to count how often someone has been suggested.

I'm very active: Online everyday, in German and English section and I'm visiting the forums and the file archive. I could try to at least decrease the spam a bit. Especially the file archive.

I wouldn't be the best moderator, I know, but I wouldn't be the worst either.

And I know that being a moderator is a shitload of work and no fun at all. But DC, Leiche and the others need every help they can get.

Someone is probably laughing at me because of this post, but believe me, although I'm an asshole sometimes, I can be just as mature as anyone else.
