Hello guys, I got a little break from working on RPGx (if someone interested), and now I'm working on a small mod. It's called "Turret mod". This mod adds a lot of different types of turrets. You have to collect points (kills), buy turrets, and have fun!

I've created this thread for suggestions, right now there is only 7 turrets available.

Money turrent, gives money based on how much dmg he dealt


Auto upgrade turrent, upgrades it self with amount of dmg dealt (could be saved in some sort of way so it dosnt just get hit and upgrade goes away)

Manual turrent, control it


mounted turrent (dont know how this would work but..)
you can build a wall and then the turrent on top, to get past the wall destroy the turrent then you can be able to destroy the wall

Remembering W3TFT TD's? However, chaos tower: low damage to everything but armored. Will deal extra damage to players with armor.

I was thinking in an energy ball turret, those energy balls from half-life 2... They kill you with a single hit.

Are they all going to be controllable?

Btw minigun turret with shield (middle part is uncovered and the base should act like obstacle so players have chance on killing the person who's controlling it).

Combine your shotgun grenade launcher and turret.
How about "spiked" turret? When players come to it, it deals damage on touch.
Plus, they can be triggerable to emit light (flashlight sprite) to find people in darkness. Maybe useless, but cool.
Last thing I can think of now, is to make some armored turret, but dunno if possible.

And other shits like minigun, etc.

Another idea: turrers can gain some upgrades/buffs by using defined key (E) near it.
Example of upgrades: Spiked metal plates (this will remove spiked turret idea) - deals damage when player touches it
Additional plates/armor - reduces ammount of damage by some %
Fire mechanism upgrade - increases damage
Explosive belts - when destroyed, it deals explosion damage in area. However, it's user friendly, meaning it won't damage your and your teammates turrets.

you set one mainturret with very much live and is very expensive and take a long time to build but if he kills one or after time he make a ring around him with less life and in the next step he makes the next ring.

clever turrent.
if a enemy shoot over range at the turret and can't see the turret, the turret will move out of fire. if the player want to look where the turret is, the turret deals extra dmg a short time. (hits must be quite)
