http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/10059873/Council-vetoes-flag-of-St-George-after-concerns-raised-about-links-to-Crusades.html

A Labour councillor says St. George might offend "some Muslims" due to the possibility of it being linked to the crusades that happened 1000 years ago and shouldn't be flown atop the local flagpole.

Muslim communities say they are fine with the flag, see nothing offensive in it and that "It is political correctness going a bit too far."

This is why you should never vote for a Socialist (or any leftist) party ever.

Labour. Not even once.

Oh. Because a local council does stupid shit, you have to never ever vote any political left parties? The logic is strong in this one.

Even more; the flag of England is not BANNED. The flag of St. George was CONSIDERED inappropriate to use, by some COUNCIL somewhere in bloody ENGLAND.

@user Alistaire: The left-leaning Democratic party of the US carries out ridiculous policies as well.
All this guilt/privilege stuff is mainly a leftist idea. It won't be flown this year at least, so that is a ban. A one-year ban.

Oh. So if you decide to NOT plant a Danish flag in your backyard, you're basically banning it?

The flag will never be banned. It's like banning the word nigger due to its history. Won't work as you;
Can't stop me now 'cause I'm havin' a good time, havin' a good time!

You honestly believe us skin-head Brits will let some Muslim tell us what flag we can and cannot use? Ha! Ridiculous.

@user oxytamine: This thread is on Labour politics and political correctness. If you think this is shitposting - go read a book.
He didn't really give me an adequate answer. There was no answer expected anyway, as I hadn't asked a question.

Title is still misleading.

The English flag is only replaced in one little community for a parade or whatever which consists out of what, 300 people?

Seriously change the title.

The title makes people believe that it is fully banned, when it is not even bannned anywhere. They just won't use it.

So change the fucking title, I find it sort of offensive seeing as I am really patriotic.
