This is all about manners and morals, but I know the first mod I made was a slap together of other good ones that I liked with a few original ideas of my own, which is how I expect most people to start.

The only issue of obligation is permission on releasing. Asking someone if you can use their mod takes a second in messages and most people on here are quite responsive.

Either way, if you make an amazing mod out of other people's and your own ideas, then I would expect them to be happy with how far their mod has helped the community develop.

Good luck to you, but get those permissions. Just a "Yeah, go ahead." suffices.

I don't know about other guys, but I'm all for sharing the knowledge and wealth of experience. Feel free to use my application for help debugging, it's open source, and go ahead and use any of my models. They're all public domain. It's terrible when something stagnant like copyright stops creativity. We need to get people thinking.

On that note, if you wanna discuss any of your script, go ahead and post them in this thread. I generally keep up to date with the forums.

Well ,I have finished doing cheapy fpv models for most items.I'm working on the story now, and since i expect it to be big, it's gonna take a while. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic future distopian(perfect world gone wrong) city with nice people, as well as the military police force. Zombies of 4 types, robots(some I made), and rogue survivors roam the streets. You can drive in some cars, like military APC. It's a "free-roam" map where you can kill who you want and just wreak havoc with the many guns you can buy. There is a main mission to the map tho. As to who you are playing as, it's a special military project codenamed "Puppet MARK 13".

Progress so far:made some models, and am now starting to work on the map. I made a vending machine model that you will find around the city, and buy soda from :p
I made an ICU bot that will attack you if you hit it
And a whole bunch of other things.

Well, the map is being created, of course. And I am starting to use Milkshape 3d to make models, now that I just discovered it. So now, I am converting some weapons from another game in md2 format into b3d. Which means basically.. It shall delay the release of this mod.. for awhile. -.- It will be up on this post tho. Just.. not at the time I wanted it to.

Great... I overwrote the adventure map file with another file -.- with the time and scripting I did on the map, I'll think of something... Hopefully. Maybe like a war time "get out of there alive" kind of thing.

I'm working at some speed now on this Project. The mod will be up and running on the site. Don't know when, but it shall be soon. Meanwhile, I have created many things with Milkshape.
Oh, yeah! I made the pirate's hook arm become a giant bloody blade. You must fight him in a boss fight aboard a plane :3
