I want to run Stranded II online and I know there are ways to run single exe files online, but what about whole folders? Can anyone help me convert the whole SII folder into a single exe file that will run stranded II if you click it (not archiving) ? Or maybe someone could show me how to make whole folders run online? Any help would be great

What exactly do you mean by "run it online"? There are packers that can put everything in one binary and unpack it temporarily on demand.

ummm. No, that's not what i'm looking for. I'm looking for something you don't have to unpack to run. It would not be moddable but I would be able to run it online, which is what i want to do.

You can't run .exe files "online".

Yeah https://www.cameyo.com/ runs any file onine, but I don't think it works the same with folders. Anyway, I would know because it only lets me upload one file at a time, and at that rate, if it were even possible, it would take me forever.

First of all - after watching their video - you could just open chrome in that thing and download stranded using that chrome instance, then you'll have it on that device without having to pack it.

That being said: I don't think this will work as well as you might think. You will have network lag, their streaming mechanism probably isn't focused on games / video streams and you will have a lot of input delay.

Okey that is kind of a cloud server that allow to run some programs, game will be not supported I tell you cuz they require more GPU power. My question is why you even want that for SII ?

A lot of online games are quite popular. Also I have found 3d games online that require a significant amount of gpu power. A lot of online games just load the game into the ram first and then you can play it and whatnot without needing internet (I've had plenty of experience with this). After, it's just up to your computer to run it. SII loads the game into the ram at the very start every time anyway, so it doesn't sound too difficult.

Leaderstrike is 3d online. Also, games like uphill rush, shopping cart hero, learn 2 fly and others would not have gained popularity without being online. It would be even more popular with kids if it was unblocked.

"online" is ultra generic and unspecific. I assume you want to play the game in a web browser without having to download/unpack/install anything manually, right?

Stranded II is using a game engine (Blitz3D) which can't run in browsers. It's not designed for that and it uses Direct3D which doesn't run in browsers either. So these are very base news for your plan.

Back in the days there were ways to "convert" desktop apps to "browser apps". This was basically fake though because that stuff still didn't really run IN the browser. You had to download and install a browser plugin and what that plugin did is basically downloading the game to a temporary folder and simply starting it. So it looked like it was executed in the browser but in fact the browser just downloaded and started it.
This is not a thing anymore because (afaik) all big browsers dropped the support for NPAPI plugins (these were the only ones which had enough permissions to do such crazy things). I guess they still work but you have to explicitly enable them because they are a very bad idea in general and a huge security risk.
Also since you would have to download and install the plugin first you wouldn't win anything.

The only right way would be to develop the game with an engine which can run in the browser. Unity3D for example. There are many others. As said before Stranded II as not been developed with such an engine so to make this approach work the entire game would have to be recreated in such an engine. This would be A LOT of work.
There are automatic converters which can help a bit in some cases but not for Blitz3D (as far as I know) because it's not a super popular engine and nobody wants to waste time with it anymore.

So unless you find an insane person with enough skill and time there won't be a Stranded II in the browser.

And you couldn't load it into the RAM instead of the hard drive like other online games? (like the loading before you play an online game)

It doesn't work like that, stop it. Game must be writen to support web playing. You have no idea about coding and game developing.

@user Fresh Software: Sorry but user user Assassin moder is right. I don't know who told you that RAM stuff but this really isn't the point. It's not how it works. Every game is loaded into RAM for execution. No matter if browser or not.

The complete way how the game runs and works needs to be changed not only the way it is loaded. Doing this would require a full rewrite with another game engine and another programming language which would take dozens, if not hundreds of hours.
