Hello everybody and welcome to my first release of this year! Today, my hard-to-be-pleased friends, I'm introducing you a map which maybe will enrage you, maybe it will please your eyes so much that you're gonna cry of happiness, maybe you're just gonna go and play it non-stop for 24 hours. Anyway, let me begin with the real description.

• I had an idea and I made it, simple right? A map based on medieval times. A map where you won't find a single gun. A map where strategy and skill worths more than one gun. A map where aimboters and radar-hackers will get frustrated because their hacks will be useless. A map where ... I put my passion for you. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you, the Woodshield!
• The main feature of this map is that you will use only melee weapons and some grenades, no guns. This map has been made only for the construction game mode.

• In order to survive in this map against your enemies, you'll have to think! Oh yea, to think and make a good strategy, because this map is a challange. As a tip for you, just make a supply after you spawn and the rest is clear. You won't be able to use guns, as I said, also no Dispensers, Turrets, Gate Fields and Teleporters.
• The map is set in one year between 1500 and 1600. It got secret rooms where you can spy your enemies, weapons hidden in the woods , smoking chimneys for some houses and a lot more things.

• The tileset has parts from LucasRib's and other mapmakers' tilesets, aswell as parts from the free graphics offered by Spiral Graphics.

> I personally hope you'll enjoy the map and share it with your friends. Also, you'd support me a lot if you'd put this map on a servers, aswell as my other maps.

∗ Update ∗

• Because many people requested me to edit the map and fix the bugs, I did so. Graphic and gameplay bugs have been fixed and now the map can be played a lot better.

> Bases' shadows fixed.
> Added team gates at bases.
> Added more vegetation.
> Improved sound system.
> Added markers for teleports.
> Improved Lua script.
> Added boxes in certain areas of the map to make the flag-taking harder. Don't worry, those boxes are breakable and you can build over them!
> Removed red trees.
> Improved timers.
> Changed supply items.
> Added new limits.

• The entire file as well as the files used by it has been changed! Please re-download the map and overwrite the old files with the new ones!

@user SQ - Sadly not, because once I release a map I won't edit it anymore, as nobody is allowed to. Also, because I don't have time to repack the map and update it in 4 different locations. And because I like to think that the shadows are there because of the bigger walls which sustain the building. Sorry.

So can you fix the problem I said with room ordering (from left to right/top to bottom)?
Then update screens and it will be perfect.

@user Yates Small because you wouldn't like to run with your shield and sword for long to reach the enemy, open because there must be a lot of spaces to build supplies which are vital, red trees and walls because I wanted so, it's my style in this map. I tried to make something unique, because I ain't copying others' style.

@user oxytamine True, I noticed that since I began makin' the map, but still I don't think it looks ugly. Also, it doesn't ruin gameplay, since it's only the design part. The gameplay part is based on what's going in-game, so it has nothing to do with it.

@user SQ Yes. I'mma get used with the shadows in future and get my maps better.

Also, for others : Thank you very much for your comments and likes. Yes, it looks a bit like ctf_growngrass, that's my fault 'cause I could place all the buildings different, but I didn't. Thanks again!

Yeah, you need to put rooms in different order so you won't get black boarders.
Though that's a bug, still can be prevented.

@file I sorta dislike the weapon spawns, but I guess most ctf players are into that sort of thing.

Wrong using of "env_room" completely ruined gameplay with it's wrong shadows. Also, yeah, it's very similar to "ctf_growngrass".
