Today, my hard-to-be-pleased friends, I'm introducing you a map which maybe will enrage you, maybe it will please your eyes so much that you're gonna cry of happiness, maybe you're just gonna go and play it non-stop for 24 hours. Anyway, let me begin with the real description.
I had an idea and I made it, simple right? A map based on medieval times. A map where you won't find a single gun. A map where strategy and skill worths more than one gun. A map where aimboters and radar-hackers will get frustrated because their hacks will be useless. A map where ... I put my passion for you. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you, the Woodshield!
The main feature of this map is that you will use only melee weapons and some grenades, no guns. This map has been made only for the construction game mode.
In order to survive in this map against your enemies, you'll have to think! Oh yea, to think and make a good strategy, because this map is a challange. As a tip for you, just make a supply after you spawn and the rest is clear. You won't be able to use guns, as I said, also no Dispensers, Turrets, Gate Fields and Teleporters.
The map is set in one year between 1500 and 1600. It got secret rooms where you can spy your enemies, weapons hidden in the woods , smoking chimneys for some houses and a lot more things.
The tileset has parts from LucasRib's and other mapmakers' tilesets, aswell as parts from the free graphics offered by Spiral Graphics.
I personally hope you'll enjoy the map and share it with your friends. Also, you'd support me a lot if you'd put this map on a servers, aswell as my other maps.

Update 
Because many people requested me to edit the map and fix the bugs, I did so. Graphic and gameplay bugs have been fixed and now the map can be played a lot better.
Bases' shadows fixed.
Added team gates at bases.
Added more vegetation.
Improved sound system.
Added markers for teleports.
Improved Lua script.
Added boxes in certain areas of the map to make the flag-taking harder. Don't worry, those boxes are breakable and you can build over them!
Removed red trees.
Improved timers.
Changed supply items.
Added new limits.
The entire file as well as the files used by it has been changed! Please re-download the map and overwrite the old files with the new ones!

Idk what's up but .. long time completely inactive users must just log in to see mapmaker's files.

And there are others but they have done about one request thread and there's no real way to prove anything .. But really, idk what's up, I just noticed a lot of avatarless people commenting so I decided to check it out.

I freaking love this map bro. Awesome textures, cool display of the chimneys and nice sound effect when the flag is taken.
A phew tile errors in the bottom, but hey DC sucked at making the tile blending and it isn't very noticeable.
