If you want to make a decent skin, download most liked skins and see how they're made. Especially shading and layout.

For starters you should search how lightsaber looks and then try to recreate it.

Few more hints :
Learn English. I know it's not so easy, but it's the only way...
Check file archive for stuff that you want to make. Is it already made ? Do you think your work is better than theirs ?
