well as the name explains this is just a testmap to see if my new style of mapediting is a success or not.

the first image shows what i did with map editor to edit it with PS later.

the main reason for me to work with that style? you will get maps with better quality. The other advantage i can use light and shadow effects for maps which are bigger than 100x100 tiles.

the tile properties wont be missing, those are just images which cover the current tiles.

i just uploaded it to want you guys to tell me if i keep working like that or should i use the standard method? feel free to comment.

i put all files in to give you guys a small tutorial about the project

what will be changed when i still use it?
-i wont use the tile by tile building anymore
-lights and shadows will be more realistic
-no tilesets will be needed anymore, except the one i added to this file)
-you dont need to use lightengine anylonger (good for ppl without good computer)
-the graphicsettings doesnt matter, keep them on low to get best performance you'll have the same quality anyway, since even shadows were placed with sprites(because it only affect tileshadow etc.)
-i will cut each image into pieces to create more but smaller files to make it easier to download by joining a server.

@user XoOt: - You should do this thread in forum! This mapping style have only advantage in graphic - very pretty but if you want to do more detailed map, example: turn on light in room or destroy closed window in dark room - these actions will be harder to make because it's more complicated. Everything will be more complicated!
Adventure maps are often very pretty so this mapping style is for an adventure map

PS: Very much people knowed this long time before you xd
I was used this in my old unreleased maps.

PPS:My comments are hints, not bad advices.

PPPS: Idiots are ignored.

I like the concept, but I'm afraid the maps will be too big in size.
Also if it will be used for production, some automation will have to go on (might do this once I hit map saving)

@user C0nan:
You could have read the description properly. This is just a test to see if someone supports the idea. The map itself dont have to belong to any genre, but ty for the comment.
Btw. This one will be deleted after i see if it will be supported or not.

@user Yates:
As rude as always huehue

@user Rainoth:
I wanted it to be that bright, because rooms are never pretty dark in the center when there are windows around the whole thing.. but i might darken it just a little bit more just to make it more visible

@user C0nan: The file archive isn't made for your shit maps either. But you still upload them so get lost.

File Archive isn't for test maps.
In my opinion only shadows are good for normal maps.
Rest is for adventure maps

It looks pretty good. Only the middle should be changed. You might want to add some darkness there or the tiles just make it look like it's too bright. The map's not playable but it is definitely good map for making it as a test
