MLG_Brony's de_secretnuclear map 
19 comments Hello gentelmans and ladies! Today im here to present my first map! as the title says, the map is named de_secret nuclear! it contains: 2 bomb sites, one is protected by an soldier cause its nuclear! and the other one an ordinary bomb site, there is even a secret teleporter which gives you a (drum roll please) Laser!

These tunnels are too long and give no cover at all. I can imagine this map to become a construction map with a few additions.

Biusem: I suggest you checking de_ maps of others (those with high quality, that's obvious). You'll notice the most important key is the gameplay and how the map is supposed to be a Defuse Bomb one.

Biusem: Logically, most of de_ maps have at least 2 paths which leads bomb spot or opponent spawn.
To improve your map (my opinoin):
1. sketch your map
2. tighten your path (2-4 grid)
3. a path should have:
- sufficient wall as barricade (not obstacle)
- another way that lead the same path
4. de_ map should be accessible from any side (yours have 1(?) path and... 1 way to reach bomb spot?
5. visualize your mind, imagine some players are fighting in that area, you should know what and what not to put.
Don't leave blank space especially when your map is small, it makes your preview image become difficult to understand

GeoB99: I dont know how to enhance it somehow... i do not know what to do.. i dont know if i should remove it or not

I confirm same with
Rainoth. In a Bomb Defuse map should not have such extra spots for other things otherwise it's not a Bomb Defuse map at all.


i agree with Rainoth,about palms and open spaces.

It's better than most first maps but it's bad. Really bad.
Less open spaces. Less palms. Don't spam palms, don't add random spots for extra weapons, this isn't Jail or a fun map or something.

Biusem: "Editor" > "Tools/More Option" (wrench icon under "Save" button) > Choose Size before clicking "Export to Image" (1:1 recommended for resolution).
*sigh* I'm afraid to say this, but your map doesn't please someone. Most of your area are empty, either runny players or no juking spot, allows enemy to kill easily. Make maps smaller and lenghty walking distance, so that would take some time. -removed-
