Can someone post a complete tutorial or give a link to one? All the tutorials I've read have been quite vague.
I've got the game and cs_dedicated and they're both in the same folder but after this I don't know what to do.

Wow *facepalm* simplicity pwned me.It's just that I run it a small window pops up saying it's created the server I run CS2D and I'm at the Find Server New Game etc.
I thought it'd put me straight into the server?
Anyway, I'll read that post and see if I can understand it better, thank you very much.
if you want to host AND play on your PC at the same time it's even easier. you don't even need the dedicated server for that. simply start the normal cs2d client and click
new game startthat's where the magic begins! it's unbelievable but now you're server and player at the same time! yes! it's really that easy!
however no one will be able to see/join when you didn't setup your router/firewall(s) properly (see linked thread)!

you are talking about a dedicated server here. dedicated servers are for hosting only. not for playing.

Ok, I made a server like that.
I checked the console and it said.
U.S.G.N.: Sending Serverlist ADD-request (my ip)
U.s.G.N.: Server added to serverlist.
Does that mean other people can see my server?

btw: it doesn't show your IP but the IP of the USGN masterserver.
