On my new map i have NPC spawns which are triggered by a button press in a fixed location on map, instead what keeps happening is some of them spawn ontop/just above me and don't attack. They also move with me like a shadow.

It seems to be happening fairly randomly but i would say it happens more often when the server has been running for a little while.

Thanks for any help you can give

It doesn't need to affect them. Can you try disabling the Lua script and seeing if bug still exists?

For example, simple imagepos() can affect your NPC.

Ah could be a HP bar lua i downloaded from here http://www.unrealsoftware.de/files_show.php?file=5103

The problem is it triggers off randomly so i might have to wait anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours for the bug to happen.

I guess its not a vital script though.

Just to add to earlier, the NPC's are attackable when they spawn in next to me and i can kill them so it's not just the image next to me then an invisible NPC.

I'm not that great at scripting so it tends to take longer, could that be the issue though? It happens when using the button to spawn NPC's as well as the item spawn, about half spawn normally though.

Trigger move wont work as well because i want it to be kind of two levels of NPC's then on the second NPC kill (which is stronger) it opens the door which prevents NPC's being left over and not killed at the end most of the time.

i guess i could take an npc on the first wave and have it spawn a button which could be pressed to spawn the next NPC round but i don't want to do that unless its necessary.

EDIT: played through the map continually for about 15 minutes and couldn't get the bug to happen again... I wish i could figure out what's triggering it
