2. i think its a gag
however mappers have the option to create sprites which disappear when you activate your night vision. so night vision really makes sense on maps which are using this feature.
it will never disable fog of war because this would be pretty unfair.

2.i have seen maps where NV is pretty useful i just wish there were more oh and 1 thing that DC dfdint mention say you are a prisoner and every CT has a NV you kill a CT with knife and hear A CT coming you hide your M4a1 but he realizez you have a NV and openz fire you yell frekkillerz! he busts ur secret and ur dead lol another use for NV
