As far as adding painting to the program this will definitely not happen. There is plenty of paint software out there (free even) that works a lot better than anything I could make. But you can at least use the 'Open Tile Image In External Editor' button to open it with the software of your choice.

Thanks for the resource, YellowBanana. I don't have XNA but I did consider it when working on the map editor as the default graphics class was too limited and glitchy. I did manage to get full renders of the maps, but now that you can do that with the in-game editor I don't really have much use of my software so far. I postponed production as I've been working on other projects, but with that helpful info I may start back up. Thanks.
