cs2d's .png encoder has some serious issues... anything that is black (r-00,g-00,b-00) appears transperant.. (alpha=0)
i recommend getting something else to take screenies (fraps or something)
example:

As you see, the white lines.
this also explains why custom sprays that are used onto dust is messed up as well.
The Spray bug/IMG bug has gone on since 0105. It really needs to be fixed.

why are you even using png for screenshots? it's a bad choice in 90% of all cases. jpg is far better if you want to show the screens on the internet (still acceptable quality but much smaller files). that's also why jpg is the default format for CS2D screenshots.

however I'll try to fix this of course. thank you.

why do you think that this is spraylogo related? bmp files are used for spaylogos. it's totally unrelated.

edit:
problem found and fixed.

Ok, thanks for the info, we are glad to have you on the forum.
Now you can do 4 things about this:
Keep using png screenshots
Keep complaining about jpg quality
Wait until the next version
Use the "Impr Pant" key on your keyboard to take a screenshot.

the custom spray is a little weird though. if you spray it, it comes out all messed up. It doesn't happen on other maps though...

Appearently all custom seem to come out weird on other servers. I don't know why, but I think because the host disabled the "Download Spray Logo" option.

I have solution to this problem. You can use Adobe Photoshop or The GIMP both are image editing programmes, all you need to do is flatten the image with black color. Since the screenshots that are in PNG format sometimes have transparency alpha-channel on the black color in the screenshots, the screenshots can be found in "<CS2D parent folder>/screens" folder by default.

You can select screenshot quality.

screen_quality (0 - 100) in options.

The problem is, even with 100 on JPG, the image would STILL come out messed up
Thats why most players have resided to png, because it's much better quality.
If you don't know what I'm talking about with the sprays...well now you do
This here is the spray on a test map with the same tiles/backround img as Dust does

This is the spray on Dust.

Thought you would need two, so you can't complain.

Hope you can fix this√

I didn't find the problem yet. otherwise it would have been fixed already
I have a theory that if you change to no transparency when using PNG screenshots this will be automagically-fixed, I know for sure that the cause for these PNG screenshots have "black" points that go "white" is because they're saved in PNG format with transparency.

Well then... I assume you're right DC.
I hope you'll discover this PNG issue fix sometime this year.

Edit: I thought we were talking about screenshots. My bad.
Yea sometimes the spraylogos are blurred when there is low FPS, or the server you're on can't handle the up/down rates my theory again lol.
