I don't know how it is in your country, but in germany has EVERYTHING a copyright even when there is no copyright information. And with copyright I mean the german "Urheberrecht". (Thats similar to copyright) And this server stands in germany so DC would make a crime if he allowed to copy other stuff. And if they want to publish it under a CC license they have to mark it. And don't remembering where you got your skins, etc. is a bad excuse. And just by the way: There are different CC license types. And like TKD said:

Are you crazy ? I'm not stolen enything. They called "Stolen" when somebody take your skin,etc... and said "This is made by me" , that what we called "STOLEN" idiot. In here, i have some of my and some of the other source skin,map,etc... I will show you when the games done. Stop said about the "STOLEN" alright !
But I think its okey until you release this mod.
And , they have to accept you Crediting them for this MOD.
It's the same thing.
And, even if this was taken to some insane court, DC wouldn't come into play. He isn't the one making the skins, he is only providing a area for people to post them. What people do with those skins and how the creators release them is not DC's problem (for the most part).

Copying is everytime a crime, if you don't ask the owner. Even when you put credits into the mod it won't change anything. And what do you mean with:
"You can either copyright it, or you don't."
Everything is copyrighted until you mark it as CC or "free for all" or whatever (at least in germany). If the skins were under CC then there is no problem.
to it, then anyone can use it however they like. And, i've yet to see one person upload a file to here that says "Copyright blah blah blah <type of licence> blah blah blah"
So, it's not exactly coping because the creators never claimed rights to it.
In conclusion, NOTHING is copyrighted until you add a copyright image and licence to it.
moreover the rules and guidelines of this website clearly say that you always have to ask for permission of the original author.
But, the German law thing makes sense.

I see you also used some old CS2D maps.
Just a thing which confuses me that you deleted all briefings of the old CS2D maps and changed the names which does not make much sense in my opinion, becaue if a CS2D server hosts the same map you still have to download it, cause of different name. Then you have the same map twice which is kinda dumb.
I see you took my fy_industrial_v3 and renamed it to ffa-Chemical plant (what a dumb name! :D). It's nice to see my map gets also to Crossfire 2D.
I let you know there is already fy_industrial_v5 out which is a bit better. It uses some Lua and the kills with Gas, the Laser Barrier and doorkills count to the player's score in the improved version.A thing I would like to see that you upload all the files in seperate packages for CS2D. I am not interested in the new sounds or skins, although they are good (I stick to the Counter-Strike sounds :D), but I just wanted the maps. I mean, I don't want to be forced to download new skins and sounds when I just want the maps. If you could make seperate packages for
maps, skins and sounds, server scripts,I'd be glad.
One thing thats a bit dumb that the multikill/headshot/assassin sound are played globally. In CF you hear these sounds only if you made a multikill/headshot/assassin which is far less annoying then. In CrossFire the chat also doesn't get spammed with 1000 chatlines who tell you about every multikill. If you play kf-Arena with only 7 bots you know what I mean. This issue is very easy to fix, I just replaced every occurence of sv_sound in the utsfx.lua file with sv_sound2 "..killer.." (except on sample.ut.startround) and deleted all msgs.
I am looking forward for Escape Mode.
BTW: Am I just a pervert or why does the P90 player skin looks a bit like a penis?
And about the copyright stuff: Dudes! Don't punch him right into his face just because he had not asked every person for permission. The 2D interpretations of CF maps are great and fun, thats the only thing what matters for me and not if its maybe a copy of a copy of a copy. I made lots of maps. You can find lots of my tiles and some sprites in other maps, too. I never tried to prevent anybody from copying my files because with my tiles some other great maps has been created, cs_druglab_JW for example uses some tiles from the original de_bananarama. What if every author (including myself) had tried to stop |jUsTiN| using the sounds/sprites/tiles he took from other sources? This map wouldn't be possible! I would say many maps do have at least one file that is definately copied from another source the mapper even forget. Even CS2D itself uses shamelessly the same splash screen and the same sound files directly taken from CS and nobody complains!
