i know but ppl will start making a lot of mods and like a 90% will be a fail. Yeah.
There will be two possible endings of the users modification:
1. Fail
2. Noob mods everywhere
And, as I realized, it would be better if I don't make my thread. You just fckin can't make a big difference with editing it.. J4x User Offline

you can't really edit cs2d because it's a closed source game. you can only replace graphics/sounds and change some certain things with Lua scripts.
so you would need to know how the Lua scripting language works. ähh if you edit it with a hex editor, no. but if you want to code sth in the old release (0.1.0.0) you have to use Blitz3D Refresh has written

Well right off the bat I can name 3 quality mods that could benefit if CS2D were to be less restrictive.
NTDs Half Life 2D
Team Fortress 2D
My CS:S 2D
Since we all know that DC wont give dedicated modders the source code via a contract the only other option is to create our mods from the original CS2D v1.0 which has an open source code Least that's what im seriously considering at this point.
My only issue with this is that if I make my mod a separate game it will divide the player base as I call it. People will basically have to choose between CS2D & my mod which annoys me as I intended my mod to be an add on to CS2D

@ Phenixtri u can use a hex editor.. @Phenixtri: It's a free program for editting the exe and all other files. It's really cool, but 90% procents after that, doesnt work. Yes. Download source code, drop them into old-release with Blitz3D (which used for older versions) and compile :q
