You need to be careful on whatever site you use. I know that some flash sites have a submission process (where users can upload any of their own .SWF files) that can also be abused at times.

EDIT: Using Adblocker tends to be a good one to use as well just in case any flash site is using dangerous advertisements.

Hold the (Windows key + R) and type in CMD and when inside command prompt type "netstat -a" to see possible hackers connected to your PC, please note that it also holds other connections so you don't do anything unexpected... it would take a advanced user to know though what is what though, lol. Usually it's easy to spot. You could ping the IP-adresses to their location and close their connection accordingly. Also whilst in the command prompt type "ipconfig /flushDNS" this will flush all domain name servers in your dns-cache it can prevent adware, just some helpful info I want to share.
