Thanks Torque. Maybe they understand now, lol.

No, we still don't understand

I don't see any diference between average, fast and slow. But if Sugar is right, then everybody should put it on slow, because we'll be 1/3 times harder to kill .

Torque has written:
If it doesn't change a thing, how come these players noticed it? How come I notice it? How come sugar notices it? (Talking about the previous version now)

posibles options:
1) noraml day playing cs2d, someone of your friends or a respected player enters and says "hey, go to options-net and change average to fast, it will make you move smother" - as a friend or respected player tolds you, you just changed and belived that

2) you saw those 3 options and you thought "Fast conection = less lag". end of the history.

3) looking for a way to reduce lag, you found this (change from average to fast). Changed and done

Mayby it worked in a previous version, but not now.

Torque has written:
Reading that just made me angry. DC is very certain about the things he knows, or thinks he knows, and that is a good thing. But creating cs2d did not make him omniscient.

That is true, he isn't omniscient, but he know everything about Cs2d, he knows what is working, how it works, what was replaced/changed, what is now obsolet, etc.

@Sugar btw, using slow or average isn't unfair because you can change that option too. Something unfair is when you don't have the same resources of the enemy (like figthing with someone who uses the equip command, but you can't use it)
Should I come back and make one last map for CS2D?

sorry for the trouble, I was wrong. I thought that I completely disabled this setting but I actually only changed how it works. this also explains why it is still available. lol...

it limited the full packet upload rate before (resulting in less [but therefore bigger] packets per seconds). now it only limits the number of movement packets which is sent.

the differences between average and fast are not THAT crucial though - unless you play on a high speed low ping server and have insane pg skills. doesn't really have an impact on regular public server games.

I think I'll change the default speed to fast for the next version nevertheless.

@Soldier how can't you still understand?
Slow = Laggy/ Jumpy moves
Average = Bit Laggy moves
Fast = Perfect moves
If you don't believe me go ahead and test it. Nvm now, DC will set fast as the standard option, that's what Sugar wanted to reach.

So, my previous comment was totally wrong...

Then
Fast = Smoth movement
Slow = "laggy" movement

Well, now I know the diference, this could be a good advantage

Sorry about my last comment

@-mp3-s7yL3- I didnt belive that because DC said it didn't make any diference, and the creator should knows more of his creation than any of us (and I didn't notice any diference with fast or average).

But ok, we were wrong. Are you happy? (don't answer)

Well i would believe what DC says, but i've tried it by myself as Torque says. While i'm playing with fast nothing happens, but when i select average or slow everybody notice what im using.

I knew it was limiting something, because i didn't know why it magically helped your movement..
