yes, I decided to use no installer because they write shit in your registry and so on. It's easier to extract and run it instantly. If you have a good unpacker you can run it straight out of a temporary directory and if you want to remove it you just do so without having to use an uninstaller.

I think, packages are shit:
- Unprofessional
- Don't have many features
- AND YOU NEED THE EXTRACTOR(VERY BAD)

And Setups doesn't write shit in your regsitry.
You can choose it yourself.

I think Setups are better than "packages".

By the way: Setups are professional self-extractor-packages.

For big and/or good programm you should use Setups. For little mini tools you should use self-extractor-packages.

I think there aren't many differences between packages for extract or installers.

Packages aren't "unprofessional" - Installer are. Tell me, what is professional - to click just 4-5 times and ready?
No, this is just easy.

And how many features does an installer have?? It is all the same: You can choose the directory, what features or parts of the programm of a game will be installed and so on. You can do this with an extractor as easy as with an installer.

Why is it so bad, that an extractor is needed? I think almost anyone has already installes WinRar as an extract tool - and it's free.

There are many differences between a normal package and an installer. An installer is easy to use, looks better and is more professional than a little package! Features?
- Can register..
- Component installation
- Emphasize licences, information..
- ..

But the major feature is the professionalism(Looks more professional, easy to use,..).

And by the way: There are many Setup Builder which support scripting.

Fun question: Have you ever seen a very good and professional program like Microsoft Word or Exel or Visual C++ in a winzip package(Lol!)?

If you don't want to unzip a little Package like this, then don't play CS2D, or juist don't post here, but don't bother us here.

We know the pros of Installers, but...
Archives are okay, the Admin said he's not gonna use one, end of the sentence.
Another reason against installers is, that they take wasted server space and traffic that you just can use for more useful things.
