Why do you need an installer for a translation for a game that comes in a .rar file? 
because most of you don't get it when we explain how to build the mod in yourself. Also this mod is very difficult to install by hand, since the package only contains files that are necessarily for the translation. everything else must be copied from the original mod. Like I know the people they won't understand this, either.
And the last reason:
few people understand howto start stranded II with another mod, since not everyone is as geeky as the EC or me. There for is s2mklnk included.
Thou this is now more or less obsolete, since most use the modstarter.

I have downloaded the English and German versions. The German one says it's "Corrupted".

Redownload the main game packages (means the german one) again. with such big files it could happen easily that your download connection breaks accidently and corrupts the file.

this is still the old version of s2mklnk (the recent still doesn't support multilanguage, sorry)
There happened something, promised, thought you don't notice it at first.
Close s2mklnk (I think you already did that) and look at your start menu.
There should be a submenu with entries for all mods. bizzl has written

Problem 1. I have downloaded it several times. All the time it says it is corrupted.
Problem 2. Yes, it's a big file but I have downloaded heaps of games a lot bigger then this! This is really confuzzling...
I can confirm that "s2eng0024" and "s2a0024 version of Stranded 2" work. However I have to used modstarter to run them.
Singleplayer and adventure mode do not work, they both result in crashing/map not loading. Random map however works ok, all the islands it generates are hard to survive on.

I think I will just make the next version more carefully and pay more attention not to change anything but what must be translated. I don't know where the stuff is that I changed by mistake and that now lets the game break down.
But that way I will supposedly fix it.

The translation IS finished. It just crashes for unbeknown reasons.

I managed to make a temporary fix. I copied the .s2 and .s2s from the mods/stranded 2 folder too mods/stranded 2 English/maps/adventure. Ofcourse its now in German but at least I can play it :p

sounded like you have a problem with s2mklnk, a tool shipped with S2Ext and S2Eng which installs Shortcuts for every mod you have installed into your Stranded II. Since I coded this tool in less then 15 minutes, it doesn't shows much reaction on clicking the buttons, though it does it work. I think I exchange it through a smaller starter app, but I am not sure. Use the modstarter to start, it's actually much more user friendly.
I have tried downloading over 10 times. It downloads in about 10 seconds. (Fast Speed Internet)
The point is, it must just be the files I'm downloading.
There is nothing wrong with my Internet or Computer. (Just Fixed Them The Other Day)
So either DC needs to look into this, or maybe just upload them again?
EC maybe you could look into this also?

It's probably been looked at from different people several times, it's just.... Troubling..

about the download: It is impossible that the uploaded file is somehow damaged as long as others can download and use it without any problems. if you are using a download manager or something: disable it and try it again. or use another browser (it should work at least with IE, Firefox and Opera)
btw.: make use of the edit function
Can't you write the MD5-Checksums on the page?
This would help to check the download in some cases when it's not sure.

All it really says is that it is corrupted or damaged and to download again. So I'm assuming that it's the whole file. I can't even get into the zip folder to see what files are in there! Quite frankly this is pissing me off. (Sorry for the language)
I don't know what to do now... Everything I have done has not seemed to work.
