Yes, so I've been browsing through my old abandoned mods and I found this. I can't remember why I abandoned it, but now it has arisen from the trash and it's shining like never before. I present to you - the SPACE RPG MOD!

Main features (so far):
√ Zones - areas in space that belong to some factions
√ Factions - organisations that own zones in space, have reputation with other players
√ Reputation - depending on the reputation to a faction it will or will not trade commodities, equipment and/or ships, NPC (bot) ships will attack you if you are their faction's enemy
√ Trading - buy commodities on one base for less money and sell them on another base for more money
√ Trade Lanes - "means of superluminal travel within sectors of space", used to save time while going from one place to another
√ Hypergates - means of instant travel between sectors of space
√ Shield - protects your ship from outside damage, though decreases with every hit. Regenerates after some time after a hit
√ Cloaking generator - makes your ship invisible, downsides - decreased flight speed, inability to enter trade lanes/hypergates
√ EMP - disables all ships in 10 tile radius including yours for 5 seconds
√ Hyperdrive - allows instant travel between two points in space without the need of hypergates
√ Asteroid fields - fields of asteroids that have different resources in them (or none at all), grenade launcher is used to mine them. The amount of acquired resource depends on the asteroid size
√ Parties - create and manage your very own faction, invite people and become the dominant faction in the universe
√ Motherships (exclusively to parties) - mobile bases with massive firepower allowing repair and transport of friendly ships

Features to be added and changes to be implemented:
√ Equipment - as essential feature, you can buy different equipment for your ship (guns, rockets, mines, extras) on different bases. Only factions that are in good relations with you will sell equipment to you (WIP)
√ Ship variety - an essential feature, you can buy different ships on bases, every ship has different stats (higher guns level(s), more shield etc.). Only factions that are in good relations with you will sell ships to you (WIP)
√ Maybe some kind of a throttle system (thx Tobey), not sure about that though
• Add so players can join different factions for a fee on those factions' HQ bases

Hey Engi, I know how to fix that stealth armour bug. Just slap the player with 1 dmg, then other players can't see you aswell.

It's the same with other armours really. equip 1 83 (Super armour), it will be seen by other players when the person takes damage.

Well it was planned to be a Freelancer 2D mod, but now it's so far from Freelancer that I'm not that sure if the name still applies I'll also be updating the blog more often btw.

Any mapping help would be greatly appreciated, mappers who are willing to help - write me a PM, I'll explain how to set up trade lanes, hypergates, zones et al. on a map.

Yeah Time, thanks, I will. It's a bit OP at the moment.

I also implemented the phase shift feature and I'm working on improving the graphics and visual effects.

old Space RPG reminds me of KEP RP!

Interesting mod engy, everything is awesome except for that station (1st pic). You should add something to make it look like one..
