As for the CS2D weapons I am still thinking about that but it would be a pretty cool way to pay homage "credit" to CS2D :3

Hey can you add SWAT?

Also you're making a mod right? If you are making the players make 3D and 2D template for it so It would be fair

I will set up a ModDB page when I get some low poly models with XSI started. After that im going to have to look for a coder which will be a pain in the ass to find

EDIT im kinda iffy on weather or not to add SWAT since they are a domestic US based CT group Perhaps as a fictional or semi realistic SWAT, ATF, & Interpol joint task force could work. Id also have to add another faction to the Ts team to balance things out.

That depends since large maps on the source engine tends to lag as ive seen in some CS:S ZM maps like zm_fubar_ towers.

At most I think certain maps can have 64 players but the norm will be 16-32.

I am re-starting with mapping (used to map CS1.6 when Source even dreamed to exist) but with Source, i don't think Source² will be much different from Source in aspects of mapping and skinning, so if you need a mapper i would like to help.
I am just learning the advanced stuff with TopHattWaffle to finish off learning and start making maps.

Right now im only planing this via my laptop. My PC is being worked on right now as im updating it with newer parts primarily a new hard drive, graphics cards, and a better processor.

I should be able to start low poly models with XSI in a couple weeks to months.


UPDATE !!!

I need some ideas for a CT and T faction to complete the list.

They have to be a fairly well known group or at the very least have the capability to be deployed & operate over seas outside of their own nations or territories. Fictional Groups are welcome so long as they have a brief back story added to them but for the most part I prefer real world factions and groups.

Finely got my new PC up and running with windows 7 and also got a new hard drive and graphics card working.

I'm also installing XSI and will get started on some weapon models when I can.

I'm also considering a a stand alone 2D version of my idea just like CS2D using the 1.0 open source as a start. Gona have to look into blitzmax for that tho.

As for team work its just my ideas and yes im also starting to model some of the weapons and only after that when I make some content will I make a mod DB page as well as look for team members.

To those that are interested if you have an questions or ideas just post on the thread.

As for the US Navy I already have them on the list same thing for Al Queda

CTs: US Navy SEAL teams

Ts: Middle Eastern Insurgents "Al Queda is among them since there are also many split off factions from them under different names.

Also the factions are different player type that you can choose from either the terrorist or counter terrorist teams and they are mainly based on classic CS groups as well as real world Ts & CTs.

For example if your country has its own special operations or CT group that are mobile and capable of operating around the world then post their name on this thread. If its not already on the list I may and probably will add it.
