I just tried to play CS2D on my laptop with Linux Mint. It didn't work and I spent 15minutes wondering until I realized that it's 32bit executable and it doesn't work on 64bit systems (on 64bit windows 32bit exes will run because of WoW64 but Linux doesn't have such bloat). Nowadays many people have 64bit OS so 64bit version of CS2D would be appreciated. :d

Edit: And yes, I set the execution permissions correctly.

There are some libraries that you should be able to install via APT that will allow you to run 32-bit executables flawlessly, I know that is works with the dedicated server, too. By the way, I am not actually sure if BlitzMax can make 64-bit executables, though I am most definitely the one to comment on it to that high a degree.

I already tried to compile it with a 64 bit linux distribution but I didn't manage to do so. getting the 32 bit libraries should solve the problem.

Ok, with ia32-libs package CS2d works but some things such as menus make very annoying blinking... Could this be due to those libraries? I've tested cs2d on 32bit linux too and it worked better (although slower due to bad GPU driver).
