@ Mechanolith: I prefer to get an email notifcation since I get to answer people's request more faster I guess, there's no wrong with adding an option to that, people can disable it if they don't want more spam in their Email.

About the editing system, some people aren't fimilar with bbcodes so it's kinda hard for them to bold that or underline that etc, but I guess your right it is common.

How very sure of yourself. I highly doubt that claim. As you said yourself in the OP, 'DC said... he doesn't give a shit'. I do believe it also extends onto most, if not all, of the ideas proposed here.

I'm afraid to add a stupid shoutbox (worst invention ever if you ask me) or chat because I simply know the Unreal Software users too good. a few will flame, spam and share warez, porn and hacks using the chat/shoutbox. others will then try to report this stuff by creating threads or sending PMs to me.

get an IRC client and go to #unrealsoftware.de @ irc.quakenet.org if you want to chat. the good old internet relay chat is the way to go (it also automatically excludes the most stupid persons because they don't manage to set it up correctly or they are too lazy. it's great!)

Idea for this site :-

This website could have themes (different looks) for the entire site. Just eye candy.

In File Archive we can have a preview image.

What I mean is that when we hover mouse over an interesting name in the file archive, a screenshot-thumbnail of that file appears (the thumbnail of the first screenie that user uploaded along with the file.)

Also a quick download link for each file in the file list. When the user clicks on it, he'll be directly able to download the file without preview or navigation to download page.

BTW, regarding in-game chat : use the CHAT BUTTON (default : Z) or TEAM-CHAT BUTTON (default : U). Join SPECTATE MODE for PRIVATE CHATS o.o. or just join an EMPTY SERVER (there are heaps of em)... or ... or ... there are lots of solutions to a problem ... you just need to think.
