Oh, a fellow Portuguese. I'm also a NOS/ZON/Cabo TV (when will they ever stop being renamed?) costumer and I'll like to ask you: what 'package' are you paying for in order to get that speed?

(also, for some reason, Speedtest detects that Madeira, which is 965km away, is the closest server... but I'm paying for 30 Mbps so it doesn't really matter).

Well I'm a meo client (I have asl 24 mb/s but only get 12mb/s rofl because of my zone):

And zon is bad as hell, always with that traffic shapping in some hours.
My zone is exclusive meo (bad luck :/), aleast my download/upload and pings are very stable compared to my friends who use fiber connections.
I can't get fiber service for now, need wait some months (just because I'm far away from local point ~2-3 kms rofl).

About the one I have now, it's the Zon Iris 30 Megas and I pay 42€ a month. It's pretty strange, my results should be like the ones @user medeiros posted... Maybe my parents changed service but that's very improbable since the TV channels I have are the same.

By the way, @user slimK, I think you're wrong, Zon is pretty good provider. Specially when it comes to network. (and also TV, they provide a decent videoclub system, games, apps like youtube, etc within the TV box)

Oh, that's the same thing I'm paying for, albeit for a few less euros a day (if you negotiate a bit they eventually give in and lower the prices). You or your parents should contact them and complain about not getting the speed you're paying for. Maybe if you negotiate you'll get 30 Mbps for a lower price, like, let's say, 38€ a month.

This. We've have ZON/NOS for years here in the house and there's not much to complain regarding the service.

My result from a few pages ago is still valid: 32/2 mbit/s. Although I have the option of 100/6 mbit/s which would be sufficient for streaming (basically all imaginable tasks for me), but I don't know if it's worth paying an extra of ~10 Euros regarding my limited free time at the moment.
